Borrowing Materials
It is simple to become a borrower at Peter's Pense library. There is no red tape, and the service is free. An application enables you to borrow materials immediately. Once the application is completed, you will be issued an identification card. This card enables you to borrow materials and must be used each time you borrow. A fifty cents charge is made for replacing lost cards, but there is no initial fee.
Children under fourteen must be accompanied by a parent or guardian when applying for a library card. They must have their application cards signed by a parent as an indication that their parents know they are borrowing books.
All materials may be borrowed for 14 days, unless otherwise noted.
Late Fees
We are trying to be good stewards of our resources. We cannot afford to replace iems which are not returned because they get lost during the long timespan that they were out of the library. Please return all items when they are due.
If any of the materials are past due, you may be charged $1.00 for each day a VHS, DVD or CD recording is past due. For all other items, you may be charged $.25 for each day they are overdue. These fees are minimal and are simply charged to ensure that the borrowed materials are returned on time for the benefit of other patrons. The borrower is reponsible for any loss or damaged materials.
Peter's Pense reserves the right to refuse to lend to anyone who has previously damaged our materials, or who displays conduct not in keeping with normal library behavior.
All materials in the lending library will be in keeping with the teachings of the Magisterium.
